I have an update:

 

  • This is all caused by an incompatibility between the new clients and older UAG, we do not have the problem with UAG 3.8 or 3.9.
  • The 5.4.1 update is available in the Google Play store!
  • The Windows clients 5.3 and 5.4 only have this problem if you install them in dual IPv4/IPv6 mode which is not the default install option.
  • The Mac client 5.4 also has this problem.
  • We will are working to post updates to the Windows and Mac client next week. Until then you can revert to the 5.3 Horizon Client, upgrade your UAG or reinstall your Windows client with IPv4 only.

 

The Android client also runs on a Chromebook in ARC++ mode.

Thought I would post an update. App Volumes 4 update 1 was release recently and I installed this into our test environment. Our login times went from 1 minute and 20 seconds with 3 Applications attached to 37 seconds. I'll continue testing more applications to see what it does to our login times, but there is  improvement with this new version of App Volumes.

Hi,,

I will use same test user & PG created with LucD here :Create vLans in personal folders with specific permission/role

The script created the same PG on the 3 ESXi (same name, same ID), on vSwitch2.

Please, I need more help/accompany to get the configuration you ask me, I'm junior vmware...

 

Default TCP/IP Configuration Stack for each ESXi = 1 VMKernel Adapter, Gateway & DNS are the same & ok.

The 3ESXi + vCenter Server have good IP/netmask, on the same network range.

In fact, other VMs run with no problem here (DC, pfSense, VCSA, Veeam, Wsus,...) and are hosted in different ESXi and depending of vMotion moves.

ESXi are connected together through a physical switch.

We're working on that case, we think we've narrowed it down to Workspace ONE mode. Hope to have an update soon.

Do no use route based on IP hash. Change that to originating virtual port ID.

Hi,

 

HTTP error 503 View Conneciton Server

It sounds like communication between your security server and connection server is broken. The SS will return with 503 if it's unable to forward the request on to the paired CS. Make sure you check that the health status for the servers are green and confirm that the required firewall ports are open. Note that 503 can also be returned by some proxy servers if they're unable to reach the View server.

I don't feel able to give you the abstract description you ask, really sorry. I propose you this way.

These 2 users have "genuine" PG (GRETA-DMZ-XXX9, GRETA-LAN-XXX0, GRETA-LAN-XXX1). XXX for the integer part of the userid. DMZ is not a necessary point, any VLan can used for DMZLan. Here, UFA211 has only 3 VLan. UFA212 has been lucky, we created (by clicking with the mouse/GUI) 2 more VLan for him (GRETA-LAN-2122 & GRETA-LAN-2128). But that's not a nice way to manage a cluster I think...

So, I imagine 2 solutions :

  1. Disconnecting VMs from their vNics and create Vlan from 0 to 9 (and erase/reproduce existing ones)
  2. Test if VLan between 0 and 9 already exist, if not : create them.

Because of my maternel language and my level in vmWare, it's not so easy to be clearly understood. Thanks again for your effort to try to understand my needs.

I changed on the 3esxi but still get "Destination Host Unreachable" for my 2 test VMs (ping ok when VMs blocked on the same ESXi).

Hi,

 

I'm using ESXi free in a home server / home lab environment and have been running happily on version 6.7 but would like to update it to the most recent U3 build. I made a clone of the USB it runs on just fine, and was going to use the "install over the top" method to update it (i.e. boot from the most recent iso and install over the top of one of the cloned ESXi operating sticks, which I'm lead to believe will essentially do an in-place upgrade).

 

So, I downloaded the most recent ISO available on the website here, build 14320388, but when it boots it comes up with an error about "page allocation error: out of resources". searching these forums has identified that this build has an issue with UEFI boot, but the newer builds fix this. The problem is that the newer builds are not available in ISO format, just links to zip files of binaries (here).

 

So my question is, how do i update the ISO to the newest build so i can boot from it and update my system? Or is there any other simple easy way to update ESXi free?

Assuming you have VC;

Check that the datastore isn't being used for heartbeating Configure Heartbeat Datastores

If that is not the case... check for open files on the datastore:

from the CLI run a

'lsof | grep <datastore name>'

'lsof | grep <datastore uuid>'

 

if you don't know the datastore uuid run:

'ls -l /vmfs/volumes/ | grep "<datastore name>"

I found the cause if this behavior: I added a custom property to the blueprint:

 

assigned_ip: '${self.networks[0].address}'

 

Once I removed this property, the deployments started simultaneously.

 

(Now I replaced this line with an ABX to save the static IP address assigned by vRA.)

Just to try to be more precise,

About the 2 solutions I wrote I imagined, the first one is already done by your previous script, without disconnecting VMs from already existing PG. (More heavy way ?)

Maybe the 2nd way to do the job is cleaner ? Creating a PG only if not already existing for the considered/regarded user.
